You’ve received your Ratio and you’re ready to brew your first coffee. But what grind setting should you use to get the best cup? Here’s a quick guide to getting your grinder dialed-in, using some of our favorite grinders.

If you have another grinder, your ground coffee should be about the same size as sugar-in-the-raw. This will usually fall in the middle range. Also, If your coffee is tasting very sour, try adjusting your grind finer. If it’s tasting dry or astringent, adjust your grind a little coarser. If you need help - just call us.

Hi Kirill, we don’t have a lot of experience with this grinder but start between “Filter” and “Aeropress” and adjust from there.

Hi Sean, try starting at the 50 setting and go up from there. Anything beyond 60 could result in your cup tasting on the sour side.

I’m trying to find the right setting on Breville Smart Pro grinder…I saw an older comment with the same question. Wondering if anyone has locked in the right setting… :)

Hi EY, it definitely comes down to personal preference so maybe try 40g of coffee next to see if that is better.
