If you have another grinder, your ground coffee should be about the same size as sugar-in-the-raw. This will usually fall in the middle range. Also, If your coffee is tasting very sour, try adjusting your grind finer. If it’s tasting dry or astringent, adjust your grind a little coarser. If you need help - just call us.

    Hi there,

Could you recommend a setting on the Niche?

    Any recommendation for Ditting 804?

I have the Ratio8 and for the half batch I weigh the water at 650g (this brings it to the halfway marked line). I find that the coffee is the best around 45g. I have been having difficulty dialing in my Ode grinder and have been playing around with the 5-1 and 5-2 but after reading one of the posts I will try the 6-range. Thanks. Also note, I use the carafe and Chemex paper filters. Love this Ratio!

further note: I typically brew half carafe (800g water to 47g ground coffee)

been playing around with the Ratio Six and Ode grinder – for “everyday” medium roast beans, I have found a 6-1 or 6-2 setting brings out best flavor
