Introducing Session Room: A New Gathering Space for Coffee in Portland
At Ratio, we've always believed that great coffee is about more than what's in the cup. It's about taking a moment to slow down, connect with others, and enjoy the ritual that surrounds it. That belief inspired our newest project. We're excited to announce the opening of Session Room, a new coffee showroom and gathering space created in partnership with Roseline Coffee.
Now open inside Roseline's East Portland headquarters, Session Room brings together thoughtfully designed coffee equipment, hands-on education, and a welcoming space for Portland's coffee community.
The idea grew from a simple question: what if choosing coffee equipment could feel more like visiting a gallery than walking into a retail store?
Inspired by the tradition of listening rooms, Session Room was designed as a place where people can spend time, ask questions, experience exceptional coffee, and make decisions through firsthand experience. Whether you're exploring your first home brewing setup or comparing espresso machines, the goal is the same—to create an environment that encourages curiosity rather than pressure.
We've spent the past several months bringing that vision to life alongside the teams at Roseline Coffee, Clive Coffee, Specht Design, and Bellissimo Coffee Advisors. Together, we've created a space that celebrates craftsmanship from every angle—from the equipment on display to the local artwork on the walls and the coffee served each day.
Session Room will feature guided tastings, coffee demonstrations, equipment consultations, and, later this year, both home and professional barista education through Bellissimo Coffee Advisors. More than anything, we hope it becomes a place where people gather, learn, and share a great cup of coffee.
We're proud to open Session Room here in Portland and grateful to the partners who helped bring it to life. We look forward to welcoming longtime coffee enthusiasts, curious beginners, and anyone who simply enjoys spending time in thoughtfully designed spaces.
Session Room is located at 321 NE Davis Street in Portland and is open Tuesday - Friday, 1 pm - 5 pm, with personalized appointments available for booking. We can't wait to welcome you.
