Swapping the power cord on the Eight

Want a longer or shorter power cord for your Ratio Eight, or one in white? Depending on when we manufactured your Ratio Eight, it might have a user-swappable power cord. If you pull gently on the power cord, a user-swappable cord will release from the machine.

If you do have a user-swappable cord, it’s quite easy to change. Commonly used as power cords for computers and monitors, you will find many options online or at a local hardware store.

The product of the cord would be something like “5-15P to C13 Power Cord 15A, 125V, 14/3 AWG”

Depending on a few factors, you might notice the Ratio Eight brews a little slower than normal, but it might not even be noticeable. Please be sure to use one that is rated for at least 15 amps!
