Chemex Paper Filters for Ratio Eight

Consistent and clean flavor

It’s not clear to me why the filter was designed to require three fold-overs to fit into the Ratio Eight basket. Why don’t we have a zero fold-over filter? Unless I’m missing something, it looks like zero fold-over would be simpler from the design, engineering and production perspectives, would require less raw materials, should cost less to produce, and would be simpler for the customer to use in the Ratio Eight. The Chemexfilter works fine, but it’s clumsy to use and is a waste of raw marerials. Unless I’m missing something, the solution appears to be simple and obvious, and would be much more convenient for the customer.

Slightly large for the glass carafe. But works just fine. Paper does not break apart, strong but filters through fast.

I mean come on - these things - no other !

These filters are better than any I have ever used. My coffee is smooth not bitter when I use Chemex filters

The original filters that came with the purchase of my Chemex Eight were perfect. These seem to be smaller and of a lower quality. Coffee overflows out of the filter and down the outside of the carafe as it is brewing, every single time. I reached out to customer service, and I haven’t received a response yet.

These filters are great. High quality and at a great price. They compliment my new Ratio 8 perfectly.

This product is meant for the kind of machine where the grinds sit so close to the spout. I have the Ratio Eightz and the non-cut, fully square version does fit but the paper pushes up against the spout bar. This version of the filters is perfect in this case.

This may be more of an issue with the Ratio 8, I do not know yet. But, if brewing a full carafe the coffee will overflow the carafe and make a huge mess. I am not sure if this is a result of the filter being too thick or the full flow rate being to high. Either way the recommended combination of a ratio 8 and Cheney filter results in a lot of coffee on the countertop.

I can’t believe how smooth this makes my cup of black coffee taste. Peet’s Major Dickason’s Blend. Even my wife who always adds sugar and half n half will now have a cup of black coffee every now and then when using these filters.

Exactly what you'd expect from Chemex...sturdy, consistent, etc. The Ratio Eight has transformed our coffee drinking experience with help from the Chemex filters.

Great filters for the Ratio

The Chemex (round) filter is exactly what we all know it to be. Using it with a Ratio 8 coffee machine gives remarkably consistent and smooth, clear results.
